Do a beauty shelf audit before the next purchase

A simple product inventory method for reducing duplicate beauty buys and clarifying routine roles.

Educational and cosmetic only. Noryn Guide is educational only and focused on cosmetic and wellness routines. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, telehealth, prescribing, or treatment. Talk to a licensed clinician for medical concerns.

Sort by role

Put every product into one role: cleanse, moisturize, condition, SPF, finish, or reset. Anything that does not fit a role should earn its place by replacing something else.

Mark keep, pause, or replace

Keep products you use consistently. Pause duplicates, trend buys, and products that only work for rare days. Replace only when a product has a clear role and a realistic use cadence.

Add dates

Write down when a product was opened and when you expect to replace it. Dates make the shelf easier to manage and help show whether a product is worth buying again.

Use the audit as a shopping brake

Before buying, name the exact slot the product fills. If the answer is unclear, wait until the current routine has been tested longer.
